Banana Chocolate Crumble

So today I just made what has now become my all time favorite dessert!
A simple banana chocolate crumble, done anytime, super easily and so amazingly delicious!

  • 15 min to prepare
  • 35-40 min in the oven

  • a bowl
  • a cake pan (square or rectangular is better)
  • a whip

  • 5 bananas
  • 250g (11oz) milk chocolate
  • 80g (1/3cup) butter
  • cinnamon
  • 150g (1cup + 4 tbsp) flour
  • 80g (1/2 cup) brown sugar
  • salt

What you need to do:
  • Peal the bananas and cut them in small slices.
  • Lay them at the bottom of your pan
  • Sprinkle uniformly with cinnamon

  • Cut the chocolate in middle sized chunks

  • Spread uniformly the chocolate chunks on top of the banana/cinnamon

  • Soften the butter in the microwave
  • In the bowl, mix with a whip the sugar, the flour, the butter and a pinch of salt. This is to mix all the ingredients together. The batter should attach to the whip pretty badly. Once it's all attached and mixed to the whip, put the batter back in the bowl.
  • Use your hands to knead the batter.
  • Take little bits of batter between your hands and roll your hands one against the other above the pan. This will crumble the batter. Do this for the whole batter and make sure to spread it uniformly on the pan.

  • Put the pan in the oven for 35-40min at 180°C (350°F). When the crumble starts being golden, it's ready.
  • Take it out of the oven, and let it cool down.

Note that this is best eaten a little warm, with some Creme Anglaise (or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but the creme anglaise is sooo much better and takes only 10min to prepare!).
