Caramelized Fruits with Maple Syrup

This is probably the easiest recipe I'll ever post but nonetheless it is quite exquisite. It simply consists in warming up fruits in a pan and decorating them adequately!

In more details you need:

  • 2 min to prepare
  • 2-5 min to make

  • a pan
  • a fork

  • brown sugar
  • half an orange or 1 lemon
  • almonds or nuts in chunks
  • maple syrup
  • cinnamon
  • 1 fruit per person. Works best with banana, apple, pear but you can try it with anything else.

The recipe (here I use bananas):

  • Peal 1 banana per person
  • At the bottom of a pan sprinkle some brown sugar
  • Put the banana as is (do NOT slice it in any way it MUST be whole) on the pan, sprinkle with brown sugar. If you use pears or apples, then you should cut them in half.
  • Pour half of the orange/lemon juice on top of the bananas.

  • Let it cook for 2min on each side under warm heat. The sugar should start becoming caramel and the banana side which is on the pan should be golden. The banana should NOT be melting at all, it should still be quite hard inside.
  • Add the remaining orange/lemon juice.

  • Sprinkle with cinnamon and nuts.

  • Put on a plate.

  • Pour some maple syrup to finish

  • And VOILA!!
