Getting so tired of spending hours to fix each issue that comes with xubuntu 11.10 (thanks ubuntu for making linux as hateable as windows!) that I am going to post every fix to every problem I encounter.
So, you just installed Xubuntu 11.10 and you try to get on skype or evo and realize your mic doesn't work?? Worst you don't find anywhere any mic settings (yay it's even worst than windows!)?
Well I looked around, tried a few stuff and finally I found this very easy fix:
install pavumeter: sudo apt-get install pavumeter
That's it!! And then it worked!
